Flexographic Printing
Flexo printing is one of the most common printing methods for printing on non-absorbent materials. Flexo printing is a relief, rotary printing method and is printed on roll materials.
The original name of this printing is Flexography . Flexography printing is derived from the word flexus, meaning flexible. In this printing, printing is done using a flexible gelatin plate called a cliche (photopolymer plate). With flexography, uniform and uniform printing can be achieved with most polymer, aluminum, paper films for pharmaceutical, medical, food, agricultural, etc. uses with different weights. This printing has brought about many changes in the printing industry. Many flexible products and packaging are looking for flexographic printing, and this industry is progressing and growing at a rapid pace. In the Nedri Print complex, advanced 10-color flexographic printing machine technology is used .
Advantages of flexographic printing
Print quality
Consistent color transfer on high-quality wrapper compared to other flexo machines
High speed
The printing speed is 500 meters per minute, with automatic register control and fast printing drying
Lower cost than heliogravure
The cost of making a cliché is much more affordable than a cylinder
Speed in delivery
Rotary oscilloscope technology to speed up job changes and deliver to customers on time
Is the printing quality in flexo equal to that of helio?
As we know, flexographic printing and heliogravure printing are two separate types of printing for packaging wrappers. In flexo, the printing process is done by engraving the design on the cliché, and in helio printing, it is done by a cylinder. And depending on the type of design, the desired machine is selected, but what is certain is that most designs can be printed with a flexo machine. And the helio machine is used for very complex designs and high color diversity.
How long should it take to create a stereotype?
Usually, if the design is ready to be sent to the stereotype maker, it takes about 1 to 2 days to make the stereotype.
Can multiple designs be placed side by side on one plate in flexo printing?
In terms of printing standards, this is not a fundamental task due to the variety of colors in different designs and the possibility of color differences according to the design file, but if the customer’s sensitivity to the color scheme of the designs is less of a priority than arranging several designs side by side, this is possible.
What are the maximum dimensions of the flexo printing machine of the NedriStone Group?
The printing machine in this series takes advantage of the large widths that are mostly used for printing wrappers, which are capable of printing 10 colors and can print up to 127 centimeters wide .
